In this DLO above, I have learnt to draw what I see and make use of all the space available. To get the different shades I mixed colours to make light and dark tones of the same colour. I learnt to use layers of paint to build the colours and I had to remember not to overload the brush with paint. I dabbed the brush and thought carefully about brush stroke direction to create sharp edges and lines. I really liked painting my sunflowers because I had fun and my picture looks like the flowers I could see.
